Feature Article:
What the election results mean for selling your business.
Offering our perspective on the South African election results and its impact on M&A activity, we take a more measured approach.
Despite the prevailing discussions around a possible doomsday coalition, we believe this extreme is unlikely. The immediate aftermath of the elections might bring some turbulence, particularly in the financial markets, with the rand experiencing volatility as political scenarios shift.

However, we believe this instability will not translate into a significant long-term impact on day-to-day business operations or broader M&A activity. In essence, we foresee a continuation of the status quo rather than dramatic changes. South African businesses are resilient and well-versed in navigating political and economic fluctuations. We should brace for a period of uncertainty but not expect any drastic outcomes.
We remain committed to supporting our clients through these times, leveraging our expertise to provide insightful guidance and strategic direction.
We held a highly informative webinar on 4 June 2024 titled Beyond the Number: The true value of a Business Valuation.

Our next online webinar will be held on 18 July 2024 at 11am and will focus on the topic Wait and See is Not a Strategy.
