When we backed DLI Joint CEO Rick Grantham with the first R20,000 towards his Rhino Peak Challenge, we asked our network to help us double it.
Thanks to your support, Rick reached his fundraising target of R40,000 for endangered wildlife conservation, contributing to an incredible R1.13 million raised by this year’s Rhino Peak Challenge.
On Saturday, 19 September 2026, Rick joined fellow Ambassadors to take on the 21km challenge in the Maloti-Drakensberg. Heavy snow made the pass to the summit inaccessible, forcing organisers to divert participants onto an alternative route. Rhino Peak itself will have to wait for another year, but the purpose behind the challenge was achieved.
The funds raised will support organisations working on the front line of conservation, helping protect endangered species including rhinos, bearded vultures and cranes.
